TV titans take on tennis

Posted Updated

You've seen them on TV. Now you can see them on the tennis court!

WRAL is hosting a "Hotshots Round-Robin Tennis Tournament" this Saturday, Sept. 26, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Pullen Park tennis courts in Raleigh.

"We would love for viewers to come out and support us!" said WRAL anchor/reporter Renee Chou.

The goal is to raise money on behalf of Team WRAL to benefit the "Light the Night Walk," which is the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's evening walk and fundraising event.

About 20 WRAL employees and some of their family members have signed up to play in the tennis tournament. A few of the familiar faces you will see are:

  • Anchor/reporter Cullen Browder
  • Anchor/reporter Renee Chou
  • Meteorologist Nate Johnson
  • Tar Heel Traveler Scott Mason
  • Reporter Adam Owens
  • Anchor/reporter Ken Smith

Other familiar faces might be there just to watch. You never know! We hope to see you there.
