WRAL Facebook pages feature big changes

A big change has come to WRAL's Facebook presence. We have transitioned the following WRAL pages to Facebook timeline:

The pages now feature large, horizontal cover photos. You'll notice a group of our WRAL employees on the front of the WRAL-TV page. Can you spot one of our producers Tebowing?

The four buttons below and to the right of the cover photo feature Facebook content we want to highlight, such as contests, Report It, promotions or live chats.

You'll also notice on the WRAL-TV Facebook page that the timeline stretches back to the 1950s so you can learn about our history.

Whether you are a Facebook regular or just taking your first look, please check out the WRAL Facebook pages. We'd love to hear your feedback!

Would have done much better to keep GOLO and fix it rather than chunk that forum and turn to FB.

This is very dissapointing. I don't do fb. Guess I'll have to look elsewhere for comments etc. on certain stories. Oh well.

I've heard more negative things about FB timeline than positive. Timeline is very confusing and not user friendly at all. The change could push FB users away and back to Myspace which use to be THE social platform before Facebook and Twitter came along.

That's too bad. Timeline is very poorly laid out and more difficult to read.
