WRAL documentary 'Transformed' peers into transgender life in NC
RALEIGH, N.C. — Imagine being ridiculed for being yourself, feeling trapped inside the wrong body, or being judged on a regular basis. They’re issues transgender people in our community face each day.

In a new WRAL Documentary, “Transformed,” we follow a transgender man and woman and explore their everyday challenges. They discuss the relief, stress, and hard work that comes with transitioning. They describe what it’s like to experience moments of depression, fear and rejection. And they talk about House Bill 2.

For some, the struggles begin early in life. The documentary introduces us to a transgender teenager, his family and a place where they can go for help.

Join us for an eye-opening look at what it’s like to be a transgender person in North Carolina.

“Transformed” is hosted by WRAL News anchor David Crabtree and airs Thursday, June 9 at 7 p.m.
