— A guest at the Starlit Motel in Spring Lake told authorities two women robbed him after he turned down their proposition for sex Thursday night.

The women knocked the guest's door, and when he refused them, they pushed him to the floor, stole his wallet and fled, said Debbie Tanna, a spokeswoman for the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office.

Detectives want to talk to Sonya Johnson Claytor, 38, of 909 Whitcomb Drive in Fayetteville. They believe she has information that could solve the case, and there are no charges against her, Tanna said.

Claytor is described as a black woman,  5 feet 3 inches tall and weighing 220 pounds. She has brown eyes and medium-length, corn-row-styled black hair. She wears glasses.

Anyone with information about Claytor’s whereabouts should call the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office 910-323-1500 or leave an anonymous tip by calling 919-484-8477.

And Spring Lake is in the bad news column again. I feel for the law abiding citizens who live there. This town needs some leadership in the worst way.

The Starlit Motel? Why did he stay there? If this hotel is the one I am thinking of, I would not dare even step nor drive onto the property; but spend the night? Forget about it.

Way to go Spring Lake town council. You paid to fund a defunct PD rather than protect your people with increased patrols from the SO. I hope you are happy about that decision.

Ok, so I am forced to say it. WHY did he open his door when he heard the knock?? Now granted, I usually stay in more "upscale" hotels myself...LOL...but seriously, someone starts knocking on my hotel room door I sure don't go answer it.

Spring Lake has been over run with criminals since it was incorporated. And anyone staying at the starlite is asking for trouble, it iss the epitome of "hooker hotel". They have hourly room rates.

Spring Lake has been over run with criminals since I started teaching at Pine Forest 20 years ago. Nobody in their right mind would stay at a hotel/motel in Spring Lake.

I suspect this gentleman may have called upon some "adult entertainment and fun" from these ladies, then they took everything he had.

LOL! First of all, its called the Starlite Motel. I doubt your talkin' about hot women around there. Then to get punked by some street women. Classic!
