Woman wielding beer bottle attacked victim in Raeford, sheriff says

Authorities on Tuesday charged a 26-year-old Shannon woman with an assault for beating a person with a beer bottle.

RAEFORD, N.C. — Authorities on Tuesday charged a 26-year-old Shannon woman with an assault for beating a person with a beer bottle.

Briana Delios Lowery was charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, according to the Hoke County Sheriff's Office. Lowery was jailed under a $20,000 unsecured bond.

The assault happened around 5 a.m. on March 12 inside a vehicle at the intersection of Scull and Hobson roads in Raeford, according to the sheriff's office. Deputies were called to the First Health Hoke Campus emergency room in reference to a stabbing that had already occurred.

Witnesses told authorities Lowery attacked the victim with a beer bottle, which caused cuts on the victim's face and hands.

Lowery turned herself in to the Hoke County Sheriff's Office later that day.
