Woman, three children injured in Lumberton wreck

A 38-year-old woman and three children - ages 12, 10 and 7 - were injured early Friday when a car hit a school van in Lumberton, police said.

LUMBERTON, N.C. — A 38-year-old woman and three children – ages 12, 10 and 7 – were injured early Friday when a car hit a school van in Lumberton, police said. 

The wreck happened around 7:30 a.m. at Shaw and West streets when a 16-year-old ran a stop sign and hit the van, which overturned, police said. 

The woman and three children were taken to Southeastern Regional Medical Center and treated for minor injuries. 

The driver, whose names has not been released, has been charged with failing to yield and a stop sign violation, police said.. No other details about the wreck were released.
