Woman sought in Fayetteville bank robbery

A woman robbed a PNC Bank branch on Ramsey Street in Fayetteville on Dec. 19, 2013.

— Police were searching Thursday for a woman who robbed a PNC Bank branch in Fayetteville.

The woman walked into the bank, at 454 Ramsey St., shortly before noon, handed a note to a teller demanding money and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call the Fayetteville Police Department at 910-433-1856 or Crime Stoppers at 910-483-8477.

    You don't see many female bank robbers.

    @prayerhelp - there will always be bank robberies. Criminals know that bank personnel are unarmed and are instructed to comply with a robber's demands. All they have to do is walk in and hand the teller a note. The robbery is not the problem, it's avoiding getting caught by the police. Robbers are usually desperate and if they do get caught, the worst that will happen is a couple years of being kept up by the state.

    Good thing the camera worked since new article gave us a complete description of the woman. We can guess she is black and weighs over 100 lbs.How tall what language or accent if any. Or and she was not smiling for the camera
