Woman shot during home break-in
Rocky Mount police said that a man shot a woman in the foot during a home break-in on Raleigh Street Friday morning.
Posted — UpdatedROCKY MOUNT, N.C. — A man shot a woman in the foot during a home break-in on Raleigh Street Friday morning, Rocky Mount police said.
Witnesses told police that Ricky Gamble, 40, broke into a house at 917 N. Raleigh St. around 7:30 a.m. Gamble threatened Jeremy Walston, 44, with a handgun, then shot Crystal Boose, 25, police said.
Boose was being treated at Nash General Hospital.
Gamble has been arrested and will be charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, assault with a deadly weapon, and breaking-and-entering, police said.
