MONROE, N.C. — A woman has been sentenced to at least a year and three months in prison in connection with a Monroe man's heroin overdose death.
The Charlotte Observer reports (http://bit.ly/2ceaivl) that according to a statement from the Union County District Attorney's Office, 24-year-old Farrell Glaser sold 26-year-old Trenton Phillips the heroin that he fatally overdosed on in May 2015. Prosecutors say Glaser knew the potency of the heroin before selling it.
Glaser was sentenced Thursday after pleading guilty to involuntary manslaughter and selling heroin. When Glaser is released from prison, she must serve five years of supervised probation for the heroin sale and an unrelated breaking and entering conviction.
