Woman killed in Sampson County crash
Authorities said a Garland woman was killed Friday around 4:30 p.m. in two-vehicle crash on N.C. Highway 701.

GARLAND, N.C. — Authorities said a Garland woman was killed Friday around 4:30 p.m. in two-vehicle crash on N.C. Highway 701.
The driver of a 2005 Chevrolet truck, Jennifer Smith, of 330 West 2nd Street, was traveling south on N.C. 701 and collided with a tractor-trailer, operated by Walter Hernandez, of 107 Norman Jones Lane in Warsaw, after crossing the center line of the road, officials said.
Authorities said Smith died at the scene and Hernandez was uninjured.
No additional information has been released.
