Woman killed in Raleigh assault
Police said that a woman died after being assaulted in the 800 block of Sardis Drive Friday night.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Police said that a woman died after being assaulted in the 800 block of Sardis Drive Friday night.
Police spokesman Jim Sughrue said that officers responding to a 911 call found the woman around 11:30 p.m. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police haven't released the identity of the victim or more details of the case. The investigation was ongoing.
