Woman killed in Goldsboro wreck

A Goldsboro woman was killed last week when she turned into the path of a tow truck on U.S. Highway 70, authorities said Monday.

GOLDSBORO, N.C. — A Goldsboro woman was killed last week when she turned into the path of a tow truck on U.S. Highway 70, authorities said Monday.

Karissa Anne Lewis, 20, was making a U-turn on to westbound U.S. 70 near the Lenoir County line on Thursday afternoon when she turned into the path of a wrecker towing a pickup truck, authorities said.

Lewis was taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital, where she died. The tow truck driver wasn't hurt.
