What on earth happened to all the comments here? Did someone flag almost everything? Really? Are we that thin-skinned that we can't talk about why & how people might end their lives?

Sticking your head in the sand will not solve our global problems. We need to talk about them.

People need to have easy access to end their own life if they want to...without interference. Keep the government and nosey busy bodies out of this decision...it's not your body.

If this is the lady we all think it is, I have known her for at least 3 years. She was a sweetheart of a lady who had fallen into the clutches of the demon alcohol and just couldn't seem to shake loose from it. When sober, she was sweet, funny and loving....the problem was that she just couldn't seem to maintain sobriety for very long.

Please be more circumspect about spewing venom around in this format. We never know when one of the readers may be a family member of the "victim" of such venom and it's really not fair to cause them any more pain than they've already had or are having!

I pray that Rebecca has now finally found peace and is at rest. She'll be missed! bsmith9562, my heart goes out to you and the rest of your family. Garner UMC will be in prayer for all of you!

Also, come to my mind that it has been cold and foggy, so she could had slipped and felt on the rail. But I agree, homeless or troubled people are looking for warmth. God help them and provide them with shelters.
In my comment below, it should say: what if she was already dead and someone placed here there? (sorry)

I remember this happening all my life and I am almost 60 yrs old now. The roads and the RR tracks and rocks that surround them retain heat and homeless or troubled people may sit there to gain warmth. Mean people suck. Stop the mean comments please.
