Woman Injured in Durham Apartment Shooting

The suspect is a black man in his late teens or early 20s, 5'10" to 6 feet tall with a slim build.

DURHAM, N.C. — Durham Police are investigating a Monday night shooting at 1226 East Lawson St. in Building 45.

Officers who responded to the scene reported that a 20-year-old woman was shot in the back while putting laundry in her car. The woman, whose name they withheld, was taken to Duke University Hospital with a non-life-threatening injury, police said.

The suspect is a black man in his late teens or early 20s, 5'10" to 6 feet tall with a slim build. At the time of the shooting, he was wearing a black hoodie and blue jeans.
