A woman was injured early Sunday after, authorities say, the car she was driving went down an embankment in Clayton.

The wreck happened shortly after 1 a.m. on Kenmore Drive.

The woman, whose name wasn't released, was taken to WakeMed for treatment. The extent of her injuries wasn't immediately clear.
