Woman found dead on Fayetteville road
Police are investigating after a woman's body was found on Murchison Road in Fayetteville overnight.
Posted — UpdatedAround 10:45 p.m. Tuesday, officers with the Fayetteville Police Department responded to the 5000 block of Murchison Road near Brenda Drive.
According to police, someone saw a woman unresponsive in the roadway and called 911.
Police said the woman was dead at the scene. Her body was sent to the Chief Medical Examiner to determine a cause of death.
The name of the victim is being withheld until her immediate family has been notified.
