Woman dies in Warren County wreck
A 28-year-old woman died in a single-vehicle wreck in Norlina Saturday night, state troopers said.
Posted — UpdatedNORLINA, N.C. — A 28-year-old woman died in a single-vehicle wreck in Norlina Saturday night.
A vehicle carrying Jessica Alston, of Norlina, ran off Axtell Ridgeway Road, near U.S. Highway 1, then hit a ditch and overturned, state troopers said. Alston was thrown from the vehicle and died of her injuries.
Further details, including who was driving the car, weren't clear. Troopers did say that careless driving was the cause of the wreck and that alcohol was not a factor.
