ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. — A woman who was wounded early Sunday in a shooting outside a Rocky Mount club died Wednesday morning, police said.

Jordan Olivia Moody, 19, was shot in the head outside Club Element, at 1127 Benvenue Road, after a fender-bender in the parking lot led to an altercation that escalated into gunfire, police said.

Jerez Montre Norwood, 21, and Tyshawn Adams, 26, also were wounded in the incident.

Shaki Darrell Jones, 21, no address available, was initially charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Rocky Mount police said they plan to upgrade one of the assault charges to first-degree murder.

Jones was being held Wednesday in the Nash County Jail under a $95,000 secured bond, but police said they would request he be held without bond after filing the murder charge against him.

Randy Kay Sharpe, 25, no address available, has been charged with two counts of aiding and abetting assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill. Police said they plan to upgrade one of those charges to aiding and abetting murder.
