Woman crashes stolen car near Selma during multi-county police chase

Selma, N.C. — Charges are pending against a woman who stole a car early Tuesday morning and led authorities on a multi-county car chase that ended in a crash.
Goldsboro police responded around 4 a.m. to a call of a car stolen from a Sheetz gas station in Goldsboro. Multiple law enforcement agencies joined the chase, which ran through Wayne and Johnston counties.
The woman lost control and crashed the stolen vehicle on U.S. Highway 70 in a construction zone near Selma, officials said. Deputies said no one was injured, and the woman, whose name was not released, was arrested.
