Woman charged with ID fraud, child abuse

Posted June 5, 2008

— A 34-year-old woman faces identity fraud and abuse charges against two juveniles, according to the Moore County Sheriff's Office.

Sheriff Lane Carter said the state Department of Social Services contacted his office about the case, which involved two children in the Cameron area.

Investigators charged Natasha Marie Brown, of 135 Rosa Road in Cameron, with two counts each of identity fraud, obtaining property by false pretenses and misdemeanor child abuse.

Carter said the abuse was physical, and the two children had minor injuries, but neither required hospital treatment.

Brown was granted a $5,000 unsecured bond, and her first court date was set for June 25.

anneonymousone - I understand what you're saying, but by and large, people are shallow thinkers.

However, even I was taken aback by her picture...try though I might be otherwise, and by God, I'm sorry.

    God bless.

OMG!!! )I'll have to keep telling myself "looks don't matter" on this one. Sorry!)

But praying they remove the children from her so they can be safe from further physical injury.

    God bless.

The kids she abused couldn't have been her own. She couldn't possible have any. I mean, who possibly could.....?

anneonymousone - I bet they are not that cute either. People with good self-esteem don't find it necessary to put down other people based on their looks.

  • anneonymousone Jun 6, 2008

I'm not cute, either, but I hope that people judge me by what I do, not how I appear. People's comments here and on the articles about Lynn Paddock case often focus on their looks than their alleged actions. These insults hit people other than their intended targets.

Both have probably already heard that they're no beauty pageant queens; I doubt they're finding out anything new here.

Butterbean, get over it. This country has lived under George george bush for the past 7 years. Why are you not blaming him? Or how about Fox news?

  • Butterbean Jun 5, 2008

Shame on ya'll...don't you know she's just another poor victim of society. Don't blame her. Remember to kiss a bleeding heart liberal for what they have brought to this U S of A.
