Woman charged with cutting two others in fight

A 20-year-old woman used a knife to cut two other women during a fight in the 200 block of South Tillery Street around midnight Thursday, Rocky Mount police said.

ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. — A 20-year-old woman cut two other women with a knife during a fight in the 200 block of South Tillery Street around midnight Thursday, Rocky Mount police said.

Police said that Aysha Arqueze Maryland, 20, gave Lindsey Davis, 24, a minor cut on her right cheek and Brianna Oxendine, 20, a severe laceration on her left hand.

Both victims were treated at Nash General Hospital.

Maryland was charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury. She was being held in the Nash County Jail under a $3,000 bond.

According to state Department of Correction records, Maryland was put on probation in October for shoplifting, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and another misdemeanant.
