— A local woman was arrested early Thursday in a security breach at Raleigh-Durham International Airport, authorities said.

Cynthia Covial, 41, was charged with second-degree trespassing shortly after midnight, authorities said.

As two airport employees opened a door to go from a restricted area into the public baggage-claim area of Terminal C, a woman went through the doorway in the opposite direction, authorities said.

The RDU employees stayed with the woman, who didn't leave the restricted area, and they called airport police, authorities said.

The article says "RDU employee" not TSA. TSA workers do not work for RDU, they work for the Fed. govt.

I flew from Houston to RDU in December for my fathers funeral. I brought a few tools back for keepsakes. I was exhausted and in a hurry to catch my return flight. I had torque wrenches and 2 claw hammers in my carry on luggage not thinking. They were with me on board American Airlines from Houston to RDU. Wouldn't ya think these items should have been checked with my baggage? I was suprised that airport security didn't bounce me right out of there.
