Woman arrested with meth worth almost $1 million

A Texas woman was in the Durham County Jail Monday on drug charges after police said she was found with 847 grams of crystal meth.

DURHAM, N.C. — A Texas woman was in the Durham County Jail Monday on drug charges after police said she was found with 847 grams of crystal meth. At a street value of $1,000 per gram, police valued the meth at $847,000.

Miriam Landin, 18, of Brownsville, Texas, was charged with trafficking and possession with intent to deliver. She was being held on $2.5 million bond.
