Woman arrested in Raleigh shooting

A woman faces an attempted murder charge after a shooting at a Raleigh home on Thursday afternoon.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A woman faces an attempted murder charge after a shooting at a Raleigh home on Thursday afternoon.

Charlene Ronnette Hines, 38, is accused of shooting Angela Hope Artis, 45, at a home at 614 Wynne St. just before 3 p.m., police said. Hines was taken into custody at the scene. 

Artis was taken to WakeMed Hospital. Her condition was not available.

Police said the two women knew each other. 

Hines is also charged with possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number.
