Woman arrested in fatal Fayetteville shooting

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police have arrested a second suspect in the shooting death of a 71-year-old man.

Amy Yarboro Collins, 35, was arrested Tuesday in the death of August Allen "Augie" Hosack, who was found inside his 1994 Ford Taurus on July 25 after bleeding to death from a gunshot wound to his leg.

Collins was being held at the Cumberland County Detention Center without bond. She faces charges of first-degree murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon.

Another suspect in the death, Joseph “Joe” Luther Lewis, 22, was arrested on Friday.

Police are still looking for 27-year-old LaQuin "Shorty" Lamar Corbin.

Corbin is 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs 130 pounds. His last known address was the 1300 block of Powell Street in Fayetteville.

Fayetteville police were responding to a reported suspicious vehicle in the 500 block of Orlando Street when they found Hosack dead.
