Witnesses report loud noises as Raleigh utility buildings catch fire

Witnesses reported hearing loud noises, which might have been propane tanks or ammunition stored in the buildings, officials said.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Several utility buildings caught fire in Raleigh early Tuesday.

The fire spread from building to building on Kincaid Drive near North New Hope Road.

Witnesses reported hearing loud noises, which might have been propane tanks or ammunition stored in the buildings, officials said.

No one was hurt. There was no word on what started the fire.
