The power of social media was apparent Thursday night as residents of downtown Raleigh, visitors and those who were out on Glenwood South for the evening captured the flames as a building under construction burned.
The fire was visible throughout downtown Raleigh and caused traffic disruptions on major routes, including Capital Boulevard and Wade Avenue.
