Leeann Eagle loves the creative process from the beginning. She loves looking at a swatch of fabric and figuring out exactly what to do with it.

"I really enjoy creating something from nothing," the mom of one from Willow Spring tells me. "I like challenges."

Eagle was a middle school science teacher and basketball coach before the birth of her first child - a daughter - about 18 months ago. She left her teaching job to stay home full time with her newborn.

Eagle found herself with a bit more time, at least as much time as a mom of a baby has, and a little girl to create pretty things for. Soon, she'd launched her own business - Little Once Boutique, selling personalized and appliqued apparel for kids.

It all started as she began making things for her own daughter, including a personalized Christmas stocking and everything for her daughter's first birthday party. She bought an embroidery machine and dusted off the sewing machine that she's had since high school.

"Most of what I make started out being for her," she said.

She credits her older sister for getting her started with crafts as a child and her step mother-in-law for motivating her now. She opened up an online shop a few months ago.

Eagle's products include birthday party hats, personalized beach towels, embroidered T-shirts, baby bonnets and a variety of other products. She's got paper banners, ruffled bloomers and more.

So far, word of mouth has spread and business is good. She's not sure where it will take her though, right now, her priority is spending time with her muse - her little girl.

"I'm definitely more busy than I thought it would be," she said. "I really love it."
