From my point of view, if we're going to have cold weather like this, we should at least have a little snow to go with it. I would love to spend a day playing in the snow with my kids this year.
Sadly, Greg Fishel doesn't have any of the real stuff in the forecast, but there is snow in the Triangle. Thanks to these frigid temperatures, Go Play Outside Now has been busy making snow in Garner for its sledding hill and to play in.
The outdoor play area, which I featured last year, has snow that's as much as four-feet deep, according to its Facebook page. In 12 hours, they've made about half an acre of snow.
Go Play Outside Now will be open until 8 p.m. tonight or the snow is gone. They have a campfire and cabin to warm up in, but be sure to bundle up if you go.
Check the Facebook page for the latest, including how much snow is on site and the schedule.
