Roseboro, N.C. — A winning $1 million Mega Millions ticket was sold in Sampson County this week, lottery officials said.
The $2 Megaplier ticket beat the odds of one in 3.9 million by matching all five white balls in Tuesday's drawing. The ticket was purchased at the Piggly Wiggly on N.C. Highway 24 in Roseboro.
Players have 180 days from the draw date to claim their prize.
Friday's Mega Millions jackpot is an estimated $13 million. Saturday's Powerball jackpot is an estimated $168 million, the largest Powerball jackpot since Sept. 26.
