The McDonald's McMom contest celebrates moms every Monday in May starting the day after Mother's Day - because one day just isn't enough! The winner each week will receive a $25 McDonald's Arch Card gift card and eight McDonald's coupon cards for free menu items including 4 McCafe beverages for mom and 4 Happy Meals for the kiddos!

McDonald's mom, Linda Reid, was destined to have the Golden Arches be a part of her family and she wouldn't have it any other way. A mom to Robert (17) and Charnece (15), Linda and her husband, Charles, are McDonald's owner/operators living in Raleigh. They own eight McDonald's restaurants including four in Durham and four in Raleigh.

Linda, a California native, began her career with McDonald’s as a crew person for corporately-owned McDonald's restaurants. Her husband, originally from Kingston, Jamaica, moved to the United States when he was 10 and, after a couple years, got his first job at McDonald's as a crew person. While working their way through the ranks, Linda and Charles met for the first time when they moved to Northern Virginia to further their McDonald's careers. After marriage and the birth of their daughter, the dream of owning their own restaurant finally became a reality.

Linda says she loves the people she works with, and the community in which she operates. She says the best part of her job is making people smile while also having a schedule that allows her to be there for her kids when they need her. “Family is important to me. Whether that's my immediate family or my McDonald's family, I always want to make sure they're happy,” she adds “We're in the people business because we enjoy it! By working in our restaurants every day, we hope our crew people become inspired to work hard to make their dreams come true!”

As a United States Tennis Association (USTA) player, Linda enjoys playing the sport in her free time. Her son and daughter are also athletic, always traveling to play tennis and basketball. Linda says it allows her to do two of her favorite things in one - travel and spend time with her family!
