— A repair crew working on windows in the RBC Plaza in downtown Raleigh Friday accidentally broke a window in one of the upper floors, causing it to shatter and fall to the ground.

A spokeswoman with Highwoods Properties said the glass was designed to shatter and it did.

She added that because of the construction, the sidewalk below was closed to vehicle and foot traffic. The glass that fell hit the sidewalk, but no one was injured.

The workers were able to finish their repairs Friday afternoon.

No one got hurt from glass falling from 300+ft. The precautions that are programmed into construction and site management work.

Would it be news worthy if my wife or family or friends got hurt or killed if the safety measures were not present or working as intended.

I am glad to know that the glass will not hurt anyone if this type of accident occurs again.
