Wind knocked down the traffic signal lights Wednesday morning at a major Raleigh intersection, according to police.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Wind knocked down the traffic signal lights Wednesday morning at a major Raleigh intersection, according to police.

The lights at the intersection of Hammond and Tryon roads were blown over around 3 a.m.

Police put a detour in place but advised drivers to avoid the area while crews work to repair the light.

There is no estimate for how long the repair will take.
