This contest is over! Congratulations to our winner: ElyGPerez on Twitter!

Historic Oakwood in Raleigh is gearing up for its 24th annual Oakwood Garden Tour and Tea on May 4 and May 5.

This long-running event is a wonderful way to spend some quality time with your girlfriends, sisters, daughters, mother, grandmother and older kids. The two-day event features a complimentary Victorian Tea followed by walking tours of some of the best gardens in Historic Oakwood near downtown Raleigh. And with spring here, they are bursting with blooms and color right now.

The Victorian Tea, served on vintage china, features hand-selected teas from Tin Roof Teas, along with sweet and savory treats from 18 Seaboard, Capital Club 16, Market Restaurant, The Oakwood Inn, PieBird and Side Street Restaurant. The tea lasts about an hour and guests are invited to dress for the occasion (but don't forgot some comfortable walking shoes for the tour).

Tea is served each day at 10 a.m., noon, 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Tickets are $30 each and only sold in advance. In fact, they often sell out each year. For details, go to the Society for the Preservation of Oakwood's website or call the Oakwood Inn at 919-832-9712.

I have a package of four tickets for the noon, Sunday, May 5, tea seating followed by the garden tour to give away!

How do you enter to win? Do one or both of the following:

1. Follow @GoAskMom on Twitter and tweet once about the contest.

2. Answer the following question in the comments below: What's your favorite spring flower?

This contest ends at noon, April 29. One winner will be picked at random from all entries. The winner's user name or Twitter name will be posted on this post by 9 p.m., April 29, and an email or message will be sent to the winner, if possible. The winner must respond by 5 p.m., May 1, or a runner-up will be selected. Good luck!
