<b>WILSON, N.C.</b> — A Wilson woman has been charged with embezzling approximately $20,000 from an area health-care provider.<br />

Trameekque Suggs Applewhite was arrested and charged with embezzlement Monday after an internal investigation found inconsistencies in bookkeeping records at Carolina Family Health Centers, Wilson police said. <br />

Applewhite, an employee, was responsible for making banking deposits for the organization. It was not immediately clear if she is still employed at the organization.
