Investigators said they do not have a motive for the shooting.

Cox was transported to the Wilson Medical Center and then to Pitt Memorial Hospital, where his condition was not available Tuesday.

I feel so sorry for both families. I know the shooters family and I truly will be praying for them. Hate that this is the way her child had to leave this world. My prayers and heart go out to them all.

WCNC good point You a right. But that is the manner that WRAL turns the tide on all its news. This is what happens when a bunch of conservists do all the reporting. Why is everyone affraid to tell it like it is. Victim ha. Come on WRAL step up.

wcnc, you beat me to it. My thoughts exactly.

wcnc - agreed. The police officers could just as well be the VICTIMs. I'm sure they did not answer the call expecting to HAVE TO take someone's life. Now they're on admin leave. Just because someone ends up dead does not mean THEY are the VICTIM.

"Wilson Police ID Victim in Officer-Involved Shooting"

VICTIM???!!!! VICTIM???!!!! I'd say a better title is "Wilson Police ID Suspect in Shooting". This man was NO victim!! He was a suspect in a shooting who aimed his gun at police......after those circumstances, you are NO longer a VICTIM!!!
