Wilson murder suspect surrenders to police

Wilson, N.C. — A man wanted for a murder on Thursday in Wilson turned himself into police on Friday, officials said.
Rashemell Pete-Melvin Freeman, 35, surrendered at the Wilson Police Department, according to a news release sent by the department on Friday. Police issued an arrest warrant for Freeman after Joseph Cornell Bullock was stabbed and later died at Wilson Medical Center.
Freeman was charged with murder, police said. He was jailed under no bond.
