Man dies in Wilson house fire

One man died Sunday after a home in Wilson caught fire.

WILSON, N.C. — One man died Sunday from injuries he sustained when his Wilson home caught fire.

Around 5 a.m., officers with the Wilson Police Department responded to a house fire at 2005 Noland Drive.

At the scene, they found emergency medical responders providing lifesaving aid to 25-year-old Jamie M. Hill, who lived in the home. Hill died as a result of his injuries.

A preliminary investigation shows no foul play and that the incident could be accidental.
