Wilmoth: Rain and high temps to return Monday
Sunday's dry and sunny weather may not stick around throughout the work week ahead, according to WRAL meteorologist Aimee Wilmoth.

"It does look like we have the potential for severe storms ahead," Wilmoth said. "We have a marginal risk, but the majority of severe storms will be south of us."
"Our best chance for storms will be late Monday and early Tuesday as well."
Wilmoth said mostly likely the area will not see heavy rain until around 8 p.m. Monday. She said the weather has the potential of bringing hail and strong winds.
Monday's temperatures should be mild and skies should be partly cloudy throughout the day with even warmer temperatures than the weekend.
"It will really be a warm day for us Tuesday," Wilmoth said. "There will again be a chance of rain and then the potential of severe thunderstorms on Wednesday into Thursday."
Despite the rain expected to fall throughout the week ahead, temperatures will be much warmer, with highs sticking in the 70s and 80s through Thursday.
