WILMINGTON, N.C. — Fans of the hit CBS series "Under the Dome" can get a behind-the-scenes look at the show starting Saturday in Wilmington.
The show has been added to production tours of EUE/Screen Gems Studios in Wilmington. It is the largest studio complex east of California and has been home to films and television shows for three decades.

Tours, held each Saturday and Sunday this summer, will take attendees on a walking tour of the 10-stage working lot and include access to sound stages and a behind-the-scenes look at "Under the Dome."

In addition, visitors will see a visual history of the state's film and television industry in the same screening theater where many famous producers, directors and actors have reviewed productions shot at the studios.

The studio is located at 1223 23rd St. North.

Tour times are 10 a.m., noon and 2 p.m., weather permitting. Check the tour hotline at 910-343-3433 to confirm tour times throughout fall and winter.

Admission prices are $12 for adults, $10 for students and military personnel with an ID and $5 for children under 12 years of age. All admission is cash only at this time.

Tour director Pam Stilwell advises wearing comfortable shows and bringing rain gear if showers are in the forecast.

"We are indoors and out, and on our feet for an hour - all over this production complex," she said.

The studios stopped hosting tours in fall 2011 after production wrapped on the CW series "One Tree Hill." They had been hosting tours of the studios for 15 years.

Headquartered in New York City, EUE/Screen Gems provides production space, studios and more for film, TV and commercial producers in Wilmington and Atlanta.

In recent years, the Wilmington complex has played host to films "Iron Man 3," "The Conjuring" and "We're the Millers." In addition to "Under the Dome," it has hosted HBO's "Eastbound and Down" and FOX show "Sleepy Hollow."
