RALEIGH, N.C. — William Peace University has hired a Charlotte-based executive recruitment firm to help find the school’s next president, administrators said Monday.
Coleman Lew will conduct a national search to find a replacement for Debra M. Townsley, who will retire in June after reaching five years at the helm of the private institution in downtown Raleigh.

“Over the next few weeks, Coleman Lew will work with our many constituencies to learn more about what they envision for the next president for William Peace University,” Peter Meehan, chairman of the presidential search committee, said in a statement. “We will continue to be in communication with you as the search process moves forward.”

The university has set up a website for the public to view updates on the presidential search.
