A Raleigh woman has been arrested for allegedly stabbing her husband in the chest with a 12-inch kitchen knife.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A Raleigh woman has been arrested for allegedly stabbing her husband in the chest with a 12-inch kitchen knife.

Lakisha Carroll faces one count of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, according to a search warrant.

Her husband, Marlin Carroll, was listed in fair condition Monday afternoon at WakeMed.

Police were called to the couple's residence at 5300 Spring Pines Way shortly after 9 p.m. Sunday and found Marlin Carroll in a bedroom, they reported.
