OXFORD, N.C. — Five months after her husband was found shot to death in his crashed truck, Granville County Sheriff's deputies arrested Atalia England on a charge of first-degree murder.
Thomas Lee England, 27, was found dead in his truck on Redding Road on March 13. In the course of the crash investigation, deputies determined that Thomas England had been shot before his truck ran into a tree on the dead-end road off N.C. Highway 96 north of Oxford.

Sheriff Brindell Wilkins said Friday that his investigators had been working the case since that time and that no one clue led them to England's wife.

Atalia England, 24, of 8567 Redding Road, was being held at the Granville County Jail without bond.
