print friendly

A power outage knocked out electricity to about 20,000 customers in eastern Fayetteville late Tuesday afternoon.

The Fayetteville Public Works Commission confirmed the outage about 4:45 p.m. and said crews were working to restore power. The cause of the outage was not immediately known.

Fayetteville police cautioned motorists to be careful, especially at intersections, where traffic lights were not functioning.

Well....just exactly where would you feel safe at any point in this country these days. I can't seem to think of a single place that is totally safe and crime free, but if you know of one let's all go there. Oh wait we can't all go. That would mess that place up too.

Not sure i'd want to be in Fayetteville even with the power on and in the broad daylight.
