Friday's inclement weather caused some cancelations, but the Whoopi Goldberg show at the DPAC will go on as planned. 

RALEIGH, N.C. — Snow, sleet and icy road conditions Friday caused the North Carolina Symphony to cancel its evening performance at Meymandi Concert Hall, officials announced.

The performance of Beethoven's Fourth Symphony was scheduled to start at 8 p.m. The symphony has a second performance on Saturday night. Ticket holders can exchange them and should send an email to tickets@ncsymphony.org for more information.

The Whoopi Goldberg show at the Durham Performing Arts Center will go on as planned, event organizers said.

The parking lots and sidewalks near the theater have been treated, organizers said. 

According to the DPAC's weather policy: "In the case of extreme weather conditions DPAC does not contractually have the ability to cancel or postpone a performance, this decision has to be made by the management of the show that DPAC is hosting." 

The DPAC urged ticket holders to visit <a href="http://www.dpacnc.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">its website, DPAPNC.com,</a> for any changes or email them at GuestServices@dpacnc.com.

If the performance does occur, "touring shows do not offer refunds regardless of any local weather or road conditions that may impede, delay or prevent your attendance," according to the policy. 

Goldberg's show is scheduled to start at 8 p.m. 

The production of Nerds at Fletcher Opera Theater will also go on as planned on Friday night, the North Carolina Theatre announced earlier Friday. People wanting to exchange their tickets were urged to call the box office at 919-831-6941.

<a href="https://www.wral.com/Raleigh/Restaurants-Bars/Goodnights-Comedy-Club/The-Grille-at-Goodnights/4872670/">Goodnight's Comedy Club</a> canceled comic Jimmy Shubert's Friday night show. The box office will open at noon on Saturday to reschedule ticket holders.
