RALEIGH, N.C. — There are over 100 musical acts going on this Thursday through Saturday during Hopscotch Music Festival. With such an overwhelming choice of artists, why not start with our five picks for each day of the festival?

Thursday:

Kurt Vile and the Violators – Lincoln Theatre - 12:15 a.m.
Chatham County Line – Longview Center – 11:45 p.m.
The Rosebuds – Memorial Auditorium – 11:15 p.m.
The Shilohs – Five Star – 12:15 a.m.
Wold – Kennedy Center – 11:45 p.m.
Jeanne Jolly has always been musical. She played piano and harmonica as a child and later took the stage at a Carolina Mudcats game to sing the National Anthem. But when her mother died of ovarian cancer, she picked up the guitar and turned her mourning into music.

Friday:

Gross Ghost – City Plaza – 5:50 p.m.
Future Islands – City Plaza – 7:00 p.m.

 

Mount Moriah – Fletcher Opera Theater – 11:15 p.m.
Local Natives – Memorial Auditorium – 10:45 p.m.
Jeanne Jolly – Deep South – 10:45 p.m.

Saturday:

Just go to City Plaza and stay there for Lollipops, Breeders and Spiritualized – 5:45 p.m.
Califone – Longview Center – 11:45 p.m.
Coke Bust – Slim's – 12:15 a.m.
Low – Fletcher Opera Theatre – 10:45 p.m.
Schooner – Deep South – 9:45 p.m.
