Whiteville Man Wins $2M in Powerball

— A man from the southeastern corner of North Carolina won $2 million in the Powerball drawing April 16.

Clifton Jones, of Whiteville, purchased one ticket from the Minuteman Food Mart on North J.K. Powell Blvd.

He matched five white balls, a payout of $200,000. The Power Play option enabled him to multiply his winnings by 10.
