Pink Hill, N.C. — A white powdery substance is being investigated after it appeared to make a Lenoir County woman sick Tuesday.
Sheriff’s deputies said the woman became ill after opening a package that contained the substance at her Murphy Road home in Pink Hill.
The woman was taken to the hospital, but has not been identified. Her condition was not released.
Deputies could not say for certain that the substance made the woman sick, only that she became ill after coming in contact with it.
