White Ford Focus sought in Durham hit-and-run
Posted October 7, 2013
Durham, N.C. — Investigators are looking for a bright white 2013 Ford Focus with a missing passenger-side mirror after they say a Durham man was injured early Monday in a hit-and-run.
Police officers found Michael Lewis Boyd, 58, lying in the middle of East Pettigrew Street, near Bacon Street, shortly before 12:30 a.m.
Boyd was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries, although his medical condition was not immediately known Monday afternoon.
Authorities say that, although they believe the suspect vehicle is a Focus, they are not ruling out other 2013 Ford models, including the Escape and C-MAX.
Anyone with any information about the hit-and-run is asked to call Durham police investigator L.W. Cox at 919-560-4935, extension 29409, or Crime Stoppers at 919-683-1200.
Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards for information leading to arrests in felony cases, and callers never have to identify themselves.
