Where to ice skate in the Triangle

— As the weather gets colder, skating 

The Ice Factory at American Tobacco Campus in Durham is open through Feb. 15. It is the largest outdoor covered ice rink in the area. Admission is $10 and includes skate rental. 

Ipreo Raleigh Winterfest is once again offering visitors a chance to skate in downtown Raleigh's City Plaza. It is open through Feb. 1. Admission is $9 and includes skate rental.

You can skate year-round at indoor locations like the Polar Ice House, which has locations in Cary, Garner and Wake Forest,Raleigh Iceplex and Triangle Sportsplex in Hillsborough.
